Impala Disco "Sex Appeal" Swatch & Review

Impala Disco Sex Appeal is a duochrome polish, its so pretty! I don't have many duochromes or this color. This color seems to be different than most others and I think thats why I like it so much. It shifts from an amber color, to pink and to an orangy copper color. The application was smooth and coverage was normal (two coats). I tried to capture how it changes , I dont think I did it justice but here are the photo's

I received this polish from a friend that I work with who lives in Brazil. Pretty huh?

OPI Purple With Purpose and a beaded nail (oops!)

OOOHH this manicure did not come out as planned, it looks like a big oops!! First I want to say that I do love the OPI polish Purple With Purpose, its so pretty and of course applies nicely. For the beading my first mistake was thinking the purples matched, nope once the beads were on it was obvious, hahah. I think I should have used smaller beads too. I applied the beads by painting "The Best Glue Ever" mixed with a little water on my painted nail, then I dipped my nail in the beads, they applied perfect!! Just the wrong color and a bit too big, see?
Soooo lesson learned, make sure the colors match and the beads are smaller hahahah

HITS Ares and Mash Plate #45

Hello!!! Today's post is done with HITS Ares, a red holographic polish that I used two coats to apply. Of course it applies great as do all HITS polishes. I then stamped with Mash plate # 45 from their 2012 collection. I used two designs because my nails are longer than the design:
I love the Mash 2012 plates, I haven't had any issues picking up the designs on my stamper :)

Hits:Poseidon & Apolo

This is my first attempt at doing a tape manicure, I chose to do a simple one. I used two HITS polishes, Poseidon, a light holographic blue and Apolo a dark holographic blue. I received these polishes from a co-worker who resides in Brazil. She came to our office and gave me a whole bunch of polish from Brazil, I fully intended to pay for them but she refused the money. It was so sweet of her and another co-worker from Brazil to give them to me as a gift. I used beads where the two colors meet because I've been wanting to try the beads out...
Sorry that I haven't posted anything in awhile, I had neck fusion surgery at the beginning of June and am finally feeling much better.
I hope you like this post :)

Zoya Beach Collection!!

I'm sure that most of you have seen Zoya's Beach collection swatches already, but you haven't seen mine!! heheh I love every color in the Beach collection, I am having a hard time picking a favorite :)
I used two coats with every polish and Seche Vite top coat. Zoya is one of my favorite brands because every polish goes on evenly, dries really glossy and rarely chips, can't beat that! Here are the pictures:

 Which color is your favorite?
Thank you for stopping by!

Bundle Monster Contest-My Entry

Hello!! Sorry if I seem to be MIA lately, with work and my housework I've just been busy. I have a business trip in Orlando next week which I am excited for. I am going to a conference and then staying a week with my husband for vacation. I have cousins in Florida so I am excited to see them. On to other news! I entered Bundle Monster's Stamping plate contest. The contest requires that you use Bundle Monster products such as an image from their stamping plates, nail gems etc. I chose to use an animal print from plate BM-223 over top neon colored polishes.I painted all of my nails white and then sponged on Sinful Colors neon polishes that I purchased for .99 each at Walgreens (what a deal!) I am in love with Sinful Colors, their formula is great , and you can not beat the price, right? Enough talk, here is a photo of my entry:

I have been sharing the link to my entry on facebook to get votes in. I would really appreciate my followers voting for my nail entry too! You can do so by clicking HERE
Thank you in advance for voting!

April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge #2 Ladybug Nails

The second challenge for April Showers Bring May Flowers is Ladybugs :) I had several ideas on how I should do it, ended up painting my nails with Glitter Gal Green 3D Holographic, then using my dotting tool to make the ladybug body, I used Julep's January polish. For the dots and legs I used a black nail art polish. I stamped a little with Cult Nails Time Traveler.

Sticks n Stones + Zoya Lara

Good Morning!! Its the start of a new week, and this requires me to have a new manicure to start things off right :) I first painted my nails with Zoya's new polish Lara, this is from the new Beach collection. This is a awesome pink color, it is a darker pink although the picture may show it to be brighter. I used two coats and it went on smooth and covered fully. I then used Sticks n Stones from Ninja Polish over top. This is the first black and white glitter I've ever used, I love how it came out!! I only used one coat which was perfect, Topped that off with one coat of Gelous and then Seche Vite
Ill be reviewing the rest of Zoya's Beach and Surf collection soon, so keep an eye out :)

Rainbowhoney frozen flame

WOW! This polish is amazingly beautiful! I received this polish in the mail yesterday and applied it over OPI DS Original. Frozen Flame is a holographic  bar glitter that applies easily and is sure to dress up any polish. I was out last night and had 2 people grab my hand to see what I was wearing because it catches your eye. This was my first purchase on Etsy and the seller made the transaction so easy. When she shipped my purchase it somehow got stuck at a sorting site, so she resent it immediately.
Here is the proof! hehe

The packaging that it came in was pretty as well

You can purchase this gem on Rainbowhoneys Etsy page by clicking HERE

Megan Miller Collection: Roja & Carribean

Hello to all my lovely readers! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far :)
Megan Miller Collection's bottles of polish are adorable! I fell in love with this new line of polish as soon as I saw them. They have a cork top (the brush is within the cap) and a cute raffia bow around the neck of the bottle. Not only do the bottles look adorable, but the two polishes I wore are awesome. The application was very smooth, I used three coats to make sure it was as opaque as I wanted it to be. Both Roja and Carribean are beautiful colors.
Roja is a perfect red color, I love this shade:

Carribean, is so pretty, it applied so smooth, I used 3 coats:

Here is a picture of the inside of the top,the brush and bottle bottoms, the cork makes it nice to hold when you're polishing and the brush itself is really nice:
Cute, right?? You can purchase these new lovelies on Megan Millers website, click here

NOTD-Hits Hera (Holo green)

Hi there !!
Today we are going to a team wrestling tournament where our local high school wrestling team will be competing. All 3 of my boys wrestled for the high school, my youngest graduated last year. The team colors are kelly green and white, therefore I wanted to do my nails in the appropriate colors to support the team. I absolutely love holographic polish. I used the very last of my HITS Hera polish to do my nails last night. I also stamped one finger in white:
This polish is awesome, the holographic effect pops right out at you , especially when the sun hits it. Ill have to buy another bottle since I used it all. Its actually the first bottle of polish that I've ever used til empty! You can purchase this polish on Llarowe's website by clicking here
Leah Ann Llarowe is an awesome seller and very sweet, I'm sure if you shop on her site you'll be pleased.

Hope everyone has a great weekend !

Happy Valentines Day! OPI DS Temptation with stamping

Happy Valentines Day to all my wonderful readers! I've done my nails for the occasion using OPI's DS Temptation with hearts stamped in silver. I ordered the OPI polish from Amazon using the gift card my brother gave to me for my birthday, when it delivered I was overwhelmed with how beautiful it is!!! I put two coats with no base on, it definitely needs two coats to make it opaque enough. The polish I stamped with is Pure Ice "Silver Mercedes". This polish stamps really well and looks awesome over so many colors. The stamping plates I used were Konad M-78 and Red Angel  RA-110
I'm sure you've noticed the length of my nails has changed. I put acrylic nails back on because I really do like my nails long. This may be a bit too long , Ill probably trim them a bit, but I'm more comfortable now :)

Thanks for visiting!!

Fever Lacquer "I Lie For....Only you"

Check this polish out! My friend Casandra over at the Mani-Logues made this polish and I am so thrilled with it! It is a jelly based polish with a shimmer and some black glitter throughout. It dried fast and takes 2-3 coats to get full opaqueness. This awesome polish came in the mail the other day and it came packed in the most original packing!! Cas wrapped it in an infant diaper, how perfect is that? I laughed , it was so cute, I haven't seen a tiny diaper in years! I wish I would've taken a picture of it! Casandra is starting her own polish line and has started a blog dedicated to her new polish, you can find it by clicking here. She is sure to be successful judging on how awesome this polish turned out!
Don't you agree?

Lynnderella "I Can Afford It"

Superbowl Sunday!! I am of course doing my nails haha , while ESPN is playing on my TV. This is sure to be this way all day long til the game is over. Today I used Lynnderella's "I Can Afford It" over Nubar's "Reclaim".

I also stamped a heart to my accent nail. I love how the Lynnderella polish applied I used a little more than one coat, it covers so well. It has green glitter with some purple, gold mixed in throughout. It covered so well I really didn't need to put the Nubar Reclaim under it. I purchased  this  Lynnderella polish from Llarowe . The Lynnderella polishes are quite popular so be sure to read what Leah Ann has posted on the home page of her website.

Thank you so much for reading!

Til the next post...

Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday Mani

Today I received three bottles of Deborah Lippmann polishes, the one I did my nails with is called Happy Birthday. Its such a fun glitter to work with, I created a cupcake using acrylic paint and my base color is an awesome purple holographic polish by HITS, that was given to me by my friend Ashley over at Ashley is Polish Addicted:
I ordered the Deborah Lippmann polish using a Good Morning America promo a couple of weeks ago. As the end of this week neared I still hadn't received my order, so I emailed Deborah Lippmann customer service dept asking when my order would deliver. They responded rather quickly saying that due to the overwhelming amount of orders mine wouldn't ship until next week. I then replied that I was really hoping to have the Happy Birthday polish before my birthday on Sunday, they replied that they expedited my order and I would have it on Saturday delivered by Fed Ex. I was blown away at how nice they were! Sure enough I got the polishes before 10am today!!
You can order Deborah Lippmann polishes through her website here

Misa:Embroidered Emerald

Today I polished my nails with Misa's Embroidered Emerald (purchased at a beauty supply I cant remember the name of, sorry) and Essie's Shine of the Times(purchased at CVS). I also added a cute stamp :) You may have noticed my nails are now shorter than previous posts. I've decided to take my acrylic nails off and just  grow my natural nails out. I think it will be awhile before they're strong again, so until then I have to baby them. I'm using Nailtiques Formula 2, for weak and thin nails. I also need a good base coat that prevents polish from peeling off, so Im using Orly Bonder, so far so good!
Misa's Embroidered Emerald applied really well, I used two coats. I was curious to see how Essie's Shine of the Times would look over it and I was pleasantly surprised :) It gave it an orange tint.
I just got new stamp plates today from Amazon, the brand is Red Angel, and the plate number is used is RA117. This stamp design cracked me up so I had to try it out...

Weekend Nail Polish Haul

This past Friday, I went on a shopping excursion with two friends, Traci from www.thetracefacephiles.com and Casandra from Mani-Logues.
We shopped around and got some great deals therefore I got tons of new polish!! I bought OPI, China Glaze, CleanColor, Color Club and Misa polishes. It was so much fun shopping with the girls , and now I cant wait to try all the polishes :)

OPI "Houston We Have a Purple"

Hello there!!!!
I love this OPI Houston We Have a Purple polish :) At first I was disappointed because I thought it would be more purple because of its name (what was I thinkin'?) its more of  cranberry color and its a jelly polish. This is the first time Ive used a jelly formatted polish and I was so pleased with the results. It goes on really smooth and with two coats its opaque. Of course I cant just leave it with one color polish I always have to add to my original base color. So I layered this with Nubar's Purple Fire number G704. I received this in the mail yesterday from BeautyBay:  http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/nubar/purplefire/   They are in the UK and ship FREE to the US. It did take 18 days for me to get my order, but how can I complain when I didn't pay for shipping. They also added two mini polishes from Nubar, a fast drying top coat and a clear base coat, for free.
I then stamped with bundle monster plate # 02 using Sally Hansen Insta Dry , Whirlwind White.
