Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday Mani

Today I received three bottles of Deborah Lippmann polishes, the one I did my nails with is called Happy Birthday. Its such a fun glitter to work with, I created a cupcake using acrylic paint and my base color is an awesome purple holographic polish by HITS, that was given to me by my friend Ashley over at Ashley is Polish Addicted:
I ordered the Deborah Lippmann polish using a Good Morning America promo a couple of weeks ago. As the end of this week neared I still hadn't received my order, so I emailed Deborah Lippmann customer service dept asking when my order would deliver. They responded rather quickly saying that due to the overwhelming amount of orders mine wouldn't ship until next week. I then replied that I was really hoping to have the Happy Birthday polish before my birthday on Sunday, they replied that they expedited my order and I would have it on Saturday delivered by Fed Ex. I was blown away at how nice they were! Sure enough I got the polishes before 10am today!!

Misa:Embroidered Emerald

Today I polished my nails with Misa's Embroidered Emerald (purchased at a beauty supply I cant remember the name of, sorry) and Essie's Shine of the Times(purchased at CVS). I also added a cute stamp :) You may have noticed my nails are now shorter than previous posts. I've decided to take my acrylic nails off and just  grow my natural nails out. I think it will be awhile before they're strong again, so until then I have to baby them. I'm using Nailtiques Formula 2, for weak and thin nails. I also need a good base coat that prevents polish from peeling off, so Im using Orly Bonder, so far so good!
Misa's Embroidered Emerald applied really well, I used two coats. I was curious to see how Essie's Shine of the Times would look over it and I was pleasantly surprised :) It gave it an orange tint.
I just got new stamp plates today from Amazon, the brand is Red Angel, and the plate number is used is RA117. This stamp design cracked me up so I had to try it out...

Weekend Nail Polish Haul

This past Friday, I went on a shopping excursion with two friends, Traci from www.thetracefacephiles.com and Casandra from Mani-Logues.
We shopped around and got some great deals therefore I got tons of new polish!! I bought OPI, China Glaze, CleanColor, Color Club and Misa polishes. It was so much fun shopping with the girls , and now I cant wait to try all the polishes :)

OPI "Houston We Have a Purple"

Hello there!!!!
I love this OPI Houston We Have a Purple polish :) At first I was disappointed because I thought it would be more purple because of its name (what was I thinkin'?) its more of  cranberry color and its a jelly polish. This is the first time Ive used a jelly formatted polish and I was so pleased with the results. It goes on really smooth and with two coats its opaque. Of course I cant just leave it with one color polish I always have to add to my original base color. So I layered this with Nubar's Purple Fire number G704. I received this in the mail yesterday from BeautyBay:  http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/nubar/purplefire/   They are in the UK and ship FREE to the US. It did take 18 days for me to get my order, but how can I complain when I didn't pay for shipping. They also added two mini polishes from Nubar, a fast drying top coat and a clear base coat, for free.
I then stamped with bundle monster plate # 02 using Sally Hansen Insta Dry , Whirlwind White.

OPI's Nicki Minaj Nail Art Contest

I entered OPI's nail art contest where you were to do a design representing one of the 4 outfits they have pictured on their Facebook page. My photo seems to have been disqualified with no notification regarding the reason. I'm sorry but that is wrong in my book on so many levels. My design was
Inspired by the wonderfully talented Nail. Artist Robin Moses: http://www.youtube.com/user/robinmosesnailart?feature=watch. I asked her permission to do the design and also gave her credit when I submitted my entry. I wasn't too happy with how my nails came out but I submitted it anyway:

Zoya- Anaka

If you've never tried Zoya polishes, you don't know what you're missing. I started buying Zoya this past December, and I am so happy I did. Zoya ran a bunch of promo's around the holiday's and that is when I purchased this polish Ananka. It went on smoothly and I used two coats plus Sech Vite top coat.
This is one of my favorites! What do you think?
Here is a link to Zoya's website/ and this polish :
